'Ad (people) belied the Messengers. 123 when their brother Hood said to them, 'Will you not be godfearing? 124 I am a trustworthy Messengers sent to you. 125 So fear Allah and obey me. 126 I ask no recompense of you; my reward is only with the Lord of the Universe. 127 Build ye on every high place a monument for vain delight? 128 And take ye for yourselves castles that haply ye may abide. 129 And when ye seize, ye seize like unto tyrants. 130 Have fear of God and obey me. 131 “Fear Him Who has aided you with the things you know.” 132 "He has aided you with cattle and children. 133 "And gardens and springs. 134 I am afraid that you will suffer the torment of the Day of Judgment." 135 [But] they answered. "It is all one to us whether thou preachest [something new] or art not of those who [like to] preach. 136 This is but a fable of the men of old, 137 and we are not going to be chastised [for adhering to it]!" 138 In this there is evidence (of the Truth), yet most of them do not have any faith. 139 Verily your Lord is Immensely Mighty, Most Compassionate. 140
