And We have already created man and know what his soul whispers to him, and We are closer to him than [his] jugular vein 16 [And so,] whenever the two demands [of his nature] come face to face, contending from the right and from the left, 17 each word he utters shall be noted down by a vigilant guardian. 18 The palsy of death will surely come. This is what you wished to avert. 19 And the trumpet is blown. This is the threatened Day. 20 And every person will come forth along with an (angel) to drive (him), and an (angel) to bear witness. 21 “You were indeed neglectful of this, so We have removed the veil for you, and your eyesight is sharp this day.” 22 His (angelic) companion will say, "(Lord), the record of his deeds is with me and is all ready". 23 (And it is said): Do ye twain hurl to hell each rebel ingrate, 24 "Hinderer of good, transgressor, doubter, 25 who has set up another deity beside God: cast him, then, cast him into suffering severe!" 26 ۞ and his associate [Satan] will say, "Lord, I did not make him transgress, he had already gone far astray himself." 27 Allah will say: "Dispute not in front of Me, I had already, in advance, sent you the threat. 28 The word will not be changed with Me, and never will I be unjust to the servants." 29

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
