Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the scatterers (the wind) scattering, 1 Then those clouds bearing the load (of minute things in space). 2 and the smooth runners 3 And those who distribute (blessings) by command, 4 Verily that which ye are promised is true; 5 and, verily, judgment is bound to come! 6 By the heaven containing pathways, 7 surely you speak at variance, 8 Let whoever wishes, turn away from Our Quran. 9 Doomed are the conjecturers 10 Who are in a gulf (of ignorance) neglectful; 11 They ask: When is the day of judgment? 12 On the Day of Judgment they will be punished by the fire 13 "Taste ye your trial! This is what ye used to ask to be hastened!" 14 The pious ones will live amidst gardens and springs, 15 enjoying all that their Sustainer will have granted them [because,] verily, they were doers of good in the past: 16 They used to sleep but little of the night, 17 And in the dawns they prayed for forgiveness. 18 and sharing their possessions with the beggars and the deprived. 19 And in the earth are portents for those whose faith is sure. 20 And also in your own selves. Behold ye not? 21 And in the heaven lies your sustenance, and the promise you are given. 22 So by oath of the Lord of the heavens and the earth, this Qur’an is the Truth, in the same language that you speak. 23
