In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
READ IN THE name of your Lord who created, 1 Hath created man from a clot! 2 Recite: and your Lord is Most Generous, 3 The One Who taught to write with the pen. 4 Taught man that which he knew not. 5 By no means: Verily man exorbitateth. 6 for he believes himself to be self-sufficient. 7 Lo! unto thy Lord is the return. 8 Seest thou one who forbids- 9 A slave when he prayeth? 10 Have you seen if he is upon guidance 11 He would enjoin piety, so how good it would be! 12 Have you thought that if he denies and turns away, 13 Did he not realise that Allah is watching? 14 Indeed, if he does not desist, We will seize him by the forelock, 15 by the lying forelock steeped in sin. 16 So let him now call his gang! 17 We will call the guards of Hell (to deal with him)! 18 No, indeed; do not obey him! Prostrate and come nearer (to Allah). ۩ 19
