The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Woe to every slanderer, defamer, 1 who collects and hordes wealth, 2 He thinks that his wealth will make him immortal. 3 Nay, but [in the life to come such as] he shall indeed be abandoned to crushing torment! 4 And what will make you realize what the crushing disaster is? 5 A fire kindled by God, 6 Which rises above the hearts. 7 It will engulf them. 8 in columns outstretched. 9

True are the words of God the Almighty.
