Have you seen him who turns his back, 33 And gave a little, then was grudging? 34 Has he the knowledge of the unseen so that he can see? 35 Has he not heard what is contained in the Book of Moses, 36 And Abraham who paid his debt: 37 That no burdened person (with sins) shall bear the burden (sins) of another. 38 And that man hath only that for which he maketh effort, 39 And that his effort is going to be seen - 40 and in the end he will be repaid for it in full; 41 that all things in the end shall return to God; 42 And that it is He Who made (you) laugh and made (you) cry? 43 It is He who causes death and gives life. 44 And that it is He Who has created the two pairs, male and female? 45 from a discharged living germ 46 and on Him depends the life hereafter. 47 That it is He who makes you rich and contented; 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius; 49 And that He destroyed the former 'A-ad. 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace of them, 51 and before them the nation of Noah, they exceeded in evil and were insolent. 52 And Al-Mu'tafikah He destroyed 53 So they were covered with whatever covered them? 54 So which then of your Lord's favors do you dispute? 55 This is a warning just like those of former times. 56 The Approaching Day has approached. 57 None but God can avert it. 58 Do you then wonder at this announcement? 59 And keep laughing and do not weep, 60 while you are thoughtless? 61 So make obeisance to Allah and serve (Him). ۩ 62
