The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the heaven with its impregnable castles; 1 And [by] the promised Day 2 And the bearer of witness and those against whom the witness is borne. 3 destroyed were the people of the trench, 4 by a burning fire 5 When they sat by it (fire), 6 And they witnessed what they were doing against the believers (i.e. burning them). 7 They had no other reason for hating them except that they believed in God the mighty, worthy of praise, 8 To whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. And Allah, over all things, is Witness. 9 Those who persecute the believers, men and women, and then have not repented, there awaits them the chastisement of Gehenna, and there awaits them the chastisement of the burning. 10 As for those who believed and acted righteously, theirs shall be Gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great triumph. 11 Verily the grip of thine Lord is severe. 12 It is He who originates and repeats. 13 And He is Oft-Forgiving, full of love (towards the pious who are real true believers of Islamic Monotheism), 14 Lord of the Arsh, the Glorious, 15 Who does as He pleases. 16 Has the story of the hordes 17 Of Fir'aun (Pharaoh) and Thamud? 18 Yet those who deny the truth persist in denial. 19 and God is behind them, encompassing. 20 Nay! it is a glorious Quran, 21 (Inscribed) in Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz (The Preserved Tablet)! 22
