Say, "Lord, if you will afflict them with punishment, 93 then do not include me, my Lord, among these wrong-doing people." 94 And indeed We are Able to show you the promise they are given. 95 Repel thou the evil with that which is fairer. We Ourselves know very well that they describe. 96 And say: "O my Sustainer! I seek refuge with Thee from the promptings of all evil impulses; 97 I even seek Your refuge, my Lord, lest they should approach me." 98 (But the unbelievers will persist) until when death comes to one of them he will say: "O Lord, send me back again 99 "In order that I may work righteousness in the things I neglected." - "By no means! It is but a word he says."- Before them is a Partition till the Day they are raised up. 100 Then when the Trumpet is blown, there will be no more relationships between them that Day, nor will one ask after another! 101 And those whose scales are heavy [with good deeds] - it is they who are the successful. 102 And those whose scales (of good deeds) are light, they are those who lose their ownselves, in Hell will they abide. 103 the Fire smiting their faces the while they glower there. 104 [It will be said]. "Were not My verses recited to you and you used to deny them?" 105 They will say: "our Lord! Our misfortune overwhelmed us, and we became a people astray! 106 Our Lord! Take us out of this. Then if we revert (to evil-doing) we shall indeed be wrongdoers." 107 He will say: "Be ye driven into it (with ignominy)! And speak ye not to Me! 108 "Indeed there was a group among My bondmen who said, 'Our Lord! We have accepted faith, therefore forgive us and have mercy on us, and You are the Best Among The Merciful.' ” 109 But you took them for laughingstock, mocking at them, until they caused you to forget My remembrance. 110 Verily! I have rewarded them this Day for their patience, they are indeed the ones that are successful. 111 He will ask, "How many years did you stay on earth?" 112 They will answer: "We have spent there a day, or part of a day; but ask those who [are able to] count [time]" 113 He will say: You did tarry but a little-- had you but known (it): 114 Did you imagine that We created you without any purpose, and that you will not be brought back to Us?" 115 Then, exalted be God, the true King, there is no deity except Him, the Lord of the Glorious Throne. 116 Hence, he who invokes, side by side with God, any other deity - [a deity] for whose existence he has no evidence - shall but find his reckoning with his Sustainer: [and,] verily, such deniers of the truth will never attain to a happy state! 117 And say thou: my Lord! forgive and have mercy, and Thou art the Best of the merciful ones. 118
