In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another 1 And by the winds that blow violently, 2 And scatter (things) far and wide; 3 By those who winnow with a winnowing, 4 And those that bring down the Reminder 5 to provide excuses for some and to give warnings to others: 6 Surely that which ye are promised will befall. 7 When the stars shall be extinguished, 8 And when the sky is split apart. 9 And when the mountains are blown away; 10 And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);- 11 For what day is it timed? 12 For the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false]! 13 Would that you knew about the Day of Judgment! 14 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier people? 16 Then We will follow them with the later ones. 17 Even thus shall We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 19 Did We not create you from a weak water, 20 We then kept it in a safe place. 21 until an appointed time? 22 We determined, how excellent a Determiner are We! 23 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 24 Have We not made the earth a container 25 for the living and for the dead? 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and filled you with sweet water? 27 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 28 (It will be said to the disbelievers): "Depart you to that which you used to deny! 29 “Move towards the shadow of the smoke having three branches.” 30 "(Which yields) no shade of coolness, and is of no use against the fierce Blaze. 31 Indeed hell throws up sparks like huge castles. 32 and yellow camels. 33 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not speak (during some part of it), 35 nor shall they be given permission, so that they can apologize. 36 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 37 That will be a Day of Decision! We have brought you and the men of old together! 38 So if you have a plot, use it against Me (Allah)! 39 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 40
