AND, INDEED, We have created man out of sounding clay, out of dark-slime transmuted 26 And the jinn, We had created them afore of the fire of the scroching wind. 27 When your Lord said to the angels, "I will create the human being out of pure mud-moulded clay. 28 And when I have proportioned him and breathed into him of My [created] soul, then fall down to him in prostration." 29 So the angels prostrated themselves, all of them together: 30 Not so Iblis: he refused to be among those who prostrated themselves. 31 He said: 'iblis, what is the matter with you, that you do you not prostrate yourself' 32 He said, "Never would I prostrate to a human whom You created out of clay from an altered black mud." 33 Said He, 'Then go thou forth hence; thou art accursed. 34 "And verily, the curse shall be upon you till the Day of Recompense (i.e. the Day of Resurrection)." 35 "O my Lord," said he, "give me respite till the day the dead are raised." 36 Said Allah, “You are of those given respite.” 37 "Till the Day of the time appointed." 38 (satan) said: 'My Lord, for Your perverting me, I shall make (matters) in the earth seem most fair to them and I shall pervert all, 39 excepting those Thy servants among them that are devoted. 40 God said, "The path which leads to Me is a straight 41 Verily as for My bondmen, no authority shalt thou have over them, except the erring one who follow thee. 42 For whom the ordained place is surely Hell, 43 "It (Hell) has seven gates, for each of those gates is a (special) class (of sinners) assigned. 44
