Nay, verily: By the Moon, 32 By the night when it withdraweth. 33 and by the day when it dawns (with its radiance), 34 surely it is one of the greatest things 35 A warning to mankind,- 36 To him among you who wishes to go forward or remain behind. 37 Every soul is pledged to what it does, 38 except those of the right hand 39 (They will be) in Gardens (of Delight): they will question each other, 40 about the sinners. 41 [And asking them], "What put you into Saqar?" 42 They will say: "We were not of those who used to offer their Salat (prayers) 43 and we did not feed the poor, 44 And we used to enter into vain discourse with those who entered into vain discourses. 45 "And we used to deny the Day of Judgment, 46 until the Inevitable End [death] overtook us." 47 So the intercession of intercessors shall not avail them. 48 Why now turn they away from the Admonishment, 49 As they were frightened asses 50 That had fled from a lion? 51 Indeed, each one of them desires to be given unrolled scrolls. 52 By no means! Aye, they fear not the Hereafter. 53 No! Indeed, the Qur'an is a reminder 54 Let him who will take heed: 55 And they will not heed unless Allah willeth (it). He is the fount of fear. He is the fount of Mercy. 56
