I say the truth, and call the moon to witness, 32 And the night when it departs, 33 and the morn when it dawns! 34 surely (Hell) is one of the greatest Signs, 35 a warning to mortal man 36 For the one among you who wishes to come forward or stay back. 37 Every person is a pledge for what he has earned, 38 except the people of the right hand 39 [Who will be] in gardens, questioning each other 40 About Al-Mujrimun (polytheists, criminals, disbelievers, etc.), (And they will say to them): 41 "What has brought you into hell-fire?" 42 and they shall reply, "We were not among those who prayed; 43 and we did not feed the poor, 44 and we were wont to indulge in sinning together with all [the others] who indulged in it; 45 And we used to deny the Day of Recompense 46 Till death overtook us. 47 So no intercession will avail them. 48 Then what is wrong with them (i.e. the disbelievers) that they turn away from (receiving) admonition? 49 as though they were frightened wild asses, 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Aye! every one of them desireth that: he should be vouchsafed scrolls expanded. 52 By no means! Aye, they fear not the Hereafter. 53 Yes indeed, this is an advice. 54 So, whoever wills, will remember it. 55 And they will not mind unless Allah please. He is worthy to be feared and worthy to forgive. 56
