Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By oath of those that are sent, one after the other. (The verses of the Holy Qur’an or the angels or the winds). 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force! 2 And scatter (things) far and wide; 3 And the scattering winds scattering. 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 To excuse or to warn, 6 Surely what you are promised shall come to pass. 7 So when the stars are extinguished, 8 And when the sky is split apart. 9 The mountains will be blown away as dust. 10 and when all the apostles are called together at a time appointed... 11 for what Day has this been appointed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what will convey unto thee what the Day of Decision is! - 14 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 15 Have We not destroyed the earlier generations? 16 Then caused the latter folk to follow after? 17 As such shall We deal with the sinners. 18 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 19 Did We not create you from an abject fluid? 20 Then We lodged you in a secure place (the womb) 21 for an appointed term? 22 See that We had the power to do so. Great indeed is Our power to do what We will. 23 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 24 Have We not made the earth (as a place) to draw together. 25 For the living and the dead among you? 26 And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)? 27 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 28 Proceed now towards that which you were wont to deny as false; 29 Depart unto the shadow three branched: 30 (Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame. 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 (Or) as it might be camels of bright yellow hue. 33 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 34 This is a day in which they will not be able to speak. 35 Nor shall they be permitted so that they might excuse themselves. 36 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 37 That will be the Day of Reckoning. Gathered will be (you) and the earlier (generations). 38 If you have any plans, use them. 39 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 40
