Al-Infitaar
Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven splits open. 1 and when the stars are scattered, 2 the oceans are merged together, 3 and when graves are laid open, 4 then a soul shall know its works, the former and the latter. 5 O man! What has deceived you about your generous Lord 6 who created you, fashioned you and proportioned you, 7 and set you in whatever form He pleased? 8 No indeed; but you cry lies to the Doom; 9 Yet over you there are watchers, 10 Kiraman (honourable) Katibin writing down (your deeds). 11 They know what you do. 12 As for the Righteous, they will be in bliss; 13 whereas, behold, the wicked will indeed be in a blazing fire 14 Which they will enter on the Day of Judgment, 15 and then shall never come out of it. 16 What will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 17 Again, what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 18 (It will be) the Day when no person shall have power (to do) anything for another, and the Decision, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
