Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Ya Sin. 1 By the Qur'an full of wisdom. 2 Lo! thou art of those sent 3 On the Straight Path. 4 A revelation from the mighty, ever-merciful (God), 5 That you may warn a people whose ancestors had never been warned, who are therefore heedless. 6 The Word has been realised against most of them, yet they do not believe. 7 Surely We have placed chains on their necks, and these reach up to their chins, so they have their heads raised aloft. 8 and We have set a barrier before them and a barrier behind them, and We have enshrouded them in veils so that they cannot see: 9 It makes no difference to them whether you warn them or do not warn them: they will not believe. 10 You can only warn him who follows the Reminder (the Quran), and fears the Most Beneficent (Allah) unseen. Bear you to such one the glad tidings of forgiveness, and a generous reward (i.e. Paradise). 11 Lo! We it is Who bring the dead to life. We record that which they send before (them, and their footprints. And all things We have kept in a clear Register. 12
