Q (Qaaf)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Qaf. By the Qur'an glorious, We have sent thee as a warner. 1 Rather they were shocked that a Herald of Warning came to them from among themselves, so the disbelievers said, “This is something really strange.” 2 When we are dead and turned to dust, this returning (to life) is most far-fetched." 3 We know all what the earth decreases from them; and with Us is a Book that retains. 4 Nay, but they cried lies to the truth when it came to them, and so they are in a case confused. 5 Do they not look at the sky above them?- How We have made it and adorned it, and there are no flaws in it? 6 We stretched the earth and placed upon it firm stabilisers and We made every kind of splendid thing to grow upon it 7 This is a reminder and it sharpens the insight of every servant of God who turns to Him in repentance. 8 and We have sent down from the sky blessed water with which We have brought forth gardens and grain to be harvested, 9 And tall (and stately) palm-trees, with shoots of fruit-stalks, piled one over another;- 10 all this as sustenance for Our servants. And thus We do bring the dead land back to life with water. Such shall be the coming forth (of human beings from the earth). 11 Before them, the people of Noah and the people of Rass denied this truth; and so did the people of Thamud. 12 The 'Ad, Pharaoh, the brethren of Lut, 13 And the dwellers of the Wood, and the people of Tubba'; everyone of them denied (their) Messengers, so My Threat took effect. 14 Were We then worn out by the first creation? Yet they are in doubt about a second creation. 15
