Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Abundance diverts you, 1 even till you visit the tombs. 2 Nay, you will soon come to know; 3 You shall cetainly know (about the consequences of your deeds). 4 Yes certainly, if you had believed with certainty, you would not have craved for wealth. 5 Surely ye shall behold the Scorch. 6 Then ye shall surely behold with the surety of vision. 7 Then on that day you shall most certainly be questioned about the boons. 8

God the Almighty always says the truth.
