Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

May the hands of Abu Lahab be ruined, and ruined is he. 1 His wealth will not avail him or that which he gained. 2 Surely, he will be cast into a Flaming Fire 3 And his wife [as well] - the carrier of firewood. 4 Will have a strap of fibre rope around her neck. 5

True are the words of God the Almighty.
