Surely the people of al-Hijr also rejected the Messengers, calling them liars. 80 And we gave them Our revelations, but they were averse to them. 81 They would carve secure houses out of the mountains. 82 So the scream overcame them at morning. 83 that they earned did not avail them. 84 And We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, except with the Truth; and indeed the Last Day will come, therefore (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), forbear graciously. 85 Lo! Thy Lord! He is the All-Wise Creator. 86 AND, INDEED, We have bestowed upon thee seven of the oft repeated [verses,] and [have, thus, laid open before thee] this sublime Qur'an: 87 [so] turn, not thine eyes [longingly] towards the worldly benefits which We have granted unto some of those [that deny the truth]. And neither grieve over those [who refuse to heed thee,] but spread the wings of thy tenderness over the believers, 88 And say: "I am a distinct warner," 89 So We sent it down to the partitioners, 90 Those who made the Quran into shreds. 91 So, by your Lord, We would most certainly question them all, 92 For all that they used to do. 93 Proclaim then, what you are commanded and turn away from the unbelievers. 94 For sufficient are We unto thee against those who scoff,- 95 who assert that there are, side by side with God, other divine powers as well: for in time they will come to know [the truth]. 96 We know indeed thy breast is straitened by the things they say. 97 But glorify your Lord with His praise, and prostrate yourself: 98 And worship your Lord until there comes to you the certainty (death). 99
