The 'Aad belied the sent ones. 123 Behold, their brother Hud said to them: "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 124 “I am indeed a trustworthy Noble Messenger of Allah to you.” 125 Fear Allah and obey me. 126 "No reward do I ask of you for it (my Message of Islamic Monotheism), my reward is only from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns, and all that exists). 127 "Do you build useless monuments on every mountain 128 Erect palaces (thinking) that you will live for ever, 129 “And when you apprehend someone, you seize him mercilessly?” 130 So fear Allah, and obey me. 131 Have fear of Him Who has provided you with all the (good) things you know; 132 Who has provided you with flocks and children 133 And gardens and springs. 134 I fear for you the chastisement of an Awesome Day." 135 They said: it is equal unto us whether thou admonishest or art not of the admonishers. 136 This is but a custom of the ancients. 137 And we are not going to be tormented. 138 So they rejected him; and We destroyed them. There is certainly a sign in that; but most of them would not believe. 139 Your Lord is Majestic and All-merciful. 140
