Hizb 46

Jonah, too, was one of the Messengers. 139 Recall what time he ran away unto a laden ship. 140 And he drew lots and was among the losers. 141 And a fish swallowed him, and he was reproaching himself. 142 Had he not been one of those who glorify Allah, 143 he would have lingered in its belly till the Day they are resurrected. 144 ۞ But We cast him forth on the naked shore while he was sick, 145 and caused a gourd tree to grow over him, 146 And We sent him to [his people of] a hundred thousand or more. 147 and they believed, and We gave them enjoyment for awhile. 148 Now ask them whether your Lord has daughters, whereas they have sons. 149 Or did We create the angels females while they were witnesses? 150 Now surely it is of their own lie that they say: 151 God hath begotten. Verily they are the liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters above sons? 153 What is the matter with you? How do you decide? 154 Then will you not be reminded? 155 Or have you received some clear authority? 156 “Then bring forth your Book, if you are truthful!” 157 And they have appointed a relationship between Him and the jinns; and indeed the jinns surely know that they will be brought forth. 158 Glorified be Allah from that which they attribute (unto Him), 159 all of them except the chosen servants of Allah. 160 For, verily, neither ye nor those ye worship- 161 Can mislead anyone away from Him, 162 Except such as are (themselves) going to the blazing Fire! 163 [The angels say], "Every single one of us has his place assigned: 164 We stand in ranks (for prayer) 165 and we glorify God". 166 What, would they then say: 167 "If we had had with us a Book like that of the people of old, 168 “We would certainly be the chosen bondmen of Allah.” 169 Yet now (that it has come) they refuse to believe in it; but they will come to know soon. 170 Our word had already been given before to Our votaries, the apostles, -- 171 that they shall receive Our help 172 And surely, only Our army will be victorious. 173 So withdraw from them (O Muhammad) awhile, 174 And watch them (how they fare), and they soon shall see (how thou farest)! 175 So are they being impatient for Our punishment? 176 When it descends on their courtyards, how terrible that morning will be for those who were warned! 177 Stay away from them for a while 178 and see [them for what they are]; and in time they [too] will come to see [what they do not see now]. 179 Exaltations be to your Lord, the Lord of Might, above that they describe! 180 Peace be on the Messengers. 181 And Praise to Allah, the Lord and Cherisher of the Worlds. 182
Almighty Allah's Truth.
