The Ant (Al-Naml)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ These are verses of the Qur'an,-a book that makes (things) clear; 1 A guidance and glad tidings unto the believers. 2 who are steadfast in prayer, who pay the religious tax, and who have strong faith in the life hereafter. 3 As to those who believe not in the Hereafter, We have made their deeds pleasing in their eyes; and so they wander about in distraction. 4 It is they for whom is the worst punishment, and they will be the greatest losers in the Hereafter. 5 Thou receivest the Koran from One All-wise, All-knowing. 6 (Remember) when Moses said to his family: "I see a fire. I shall bring you news from it, or bring an ember that you may warm yourselves." 7 But when he came to the (fire), a voice was heard: "Blessed are those in the fire and those around: and glory to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. 8 O Moses, indeed it is I - Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Wise." 9 And cast down your staff. So when he saw it in motion as if it were a serpent, he turned back retreating and did not return: O Musa! fear not; surely the apostles shall not fear in My presence; 10 and neither need anyone who has done wrong and then has replaced the wrong with good: for, verily, I am much-forgiving, a dispenser of grace! 11 Put your hand inside your collar and it will come out luminous without evil? among the nine signs to Pharaoh and his nation, indeed they were an impious nation' 12 Then when Our enlightening signs came to them, they said, “This is clear magic.” 13 and in their wickedness and self-exaltation they rejected them, although their minds were convinced of their truth: and behold what happened in the end to those spreaders of corruption! 14
