Al-Saaffaat 3 of 5
Noah called for help. How blessed was the answer which he received. 75 And We saved him and his household from the great distress, 76 And his offspring! them We made the survivors. 77 And left (his name) for posterity. 78 Peace be on Nuh among the worlds. 79 This is how We reward the virtuous. 80 he was truly one of Our faithful servants. 81 [and so We saved him and those who followed him] and then We caused the others to drown. 82 ۞ And indeed, among his kind was Abraham, 83 When he came to his Lord with a free heart, 84 Behold! he said to his father and to his people, "What is that which ye worship? 85 Would you serve false deities instead of God? 86 What is then your idea about the Lord of the worlds? 87 Then he looked up at the stars (they worshipped), 88 And he said, "I am indeed sick (at heart)!" 89 But they turned their backs and went away from him. 90 Then he went quietly to the (temple of the deities) and said: “What is the matter with you, why do you not eat? 91 What is amiss with you that you do not speak?" 92 And he turned upon them smiting them with his right hand. 93 [But] then the others came towards him hurriedly [and accused him of his deed]. 94 Said he: What! do you worship what you hew out? 95 when it is Allah who created you and all that you do' 96 They replied: 'Build for him a building and cast him into the fire' 97 So they plotted a plot against him, but We made them the lowest. 98 And he said (after his rescue from the fire): "Verily, I am going to my Lord. He will guide me!" 99 Lord, grant me a righteous son." 100 So We gave him the glad tidings of a forbearing boy. 101 And when he reached the age of traveling with him, he said: 'My son, while I was sleeping I saw that I shall slaughter (sacrifice) you, tell me what is your opinion' He replied: 'Father, do as you are ordered (by Allah). Allah willing, you shall find me one of those who are steadfast' 102 When they both agreed and Abraham had lain down his son on the side of his face (for slaughtering), 103 We called unto him: O Abraham! 104 "Thou hast already fulfilled the vision!" - thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 105 that surely was a manifest trial, 106 Then We ransomed him with a tremendous victim. 107 And We perpetuated (praise) to him among the later generations. 108 "Peace upon Abraham." 109 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 110 He was one of Our believing worshipers. 111 Then, We gave him the glad tidings of Isaac, a Prophet, one of the righteous, 112 and blessed him and Isaac too: some of their offspring were good, but some clearly sinned against their souls. 113

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
