The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By oath of the late morning, 1 And [by] the night when it covers with darkness, 2 Thy Sustainer has not forsaken thee, nor does He scorn thee: 3 for, indeed, the life to come will be better for thee than this earlier part [of thy life]! 4 And indeed, in time will thy Sustainer grant thee [what thy heart desires,] and thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give you shelter? 6 Did He not find thee erring, and guide thee? 7 Did He not find thee needy, and suffice thee? 8 Therefore, treat not the orphan with harshness, 9 And as for him who asks, do not chide (him), 10 And abundantly proclaim the favours of your Lord. 11
