To the People of Pharaoh, too, aforetime, came Warners (from Allah). 41 They, too, rejected all Our signs. So We seized them with the seizure of One Mighty, Omnipotent. 42 Are the unbelievers among you any better than they? Or is there immunity for you in the Scriptures? 43 Or do they say: "We are a group united, [and therefore] bound to prevail"? 44 (Let them know that) this united group will soon run away in defeat. 45 Nay, the hour is their promised time, and the hour shall be most grievous and bitter. 46 Verily the culprits shall be in great error and madness. 47 There shall come a Day when they will be dragged on their faces into the Fire and will be told: “Now taste the flame of Hell.” 48 Lo! We have created every thing by measure. 49 And Our command is but one, as the twinkling of an eye. 50 We have indeed destroyed many a people like you. Is there anyone who would receive admonition? 51 All their deeds are in the Scrolls, 52 Every small or great deed is written down. 53 Lo! the righteous will dwell among gardens and rivers, 54 In an Assembly of Truth, in the Presence of a Sovereign Omnipotent. 55
