Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 Then by oath of those that push with a strong gust. 2 by the scatterers scattering 3 and the severally severing 4 And those winds that bring down the remembrance. 5 Whether of Justification or of Warning;- 6 BEHOLD, all that you are told to expect will surely come to pass. 7 Then when the stars become dim; 8 And when the sky is riven asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away; 10 And when the time of the Noble Messengers arrives. 11 For what Day was it postponed? 12 For the Day of sorting out (the men of Paradise from the men destined for Hell). 13 How will you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 15 Destroyed We not the former folk, 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 That is what We shall do to those who are guilty of crime. 18 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 Then We placed it in a place of safety (womb), 21 For a known period (determined by gestation)? 22 See that We had the power to do so. Great indeed is Our power to do what We will. 23 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 for the living and the dead? 26 And We placed high mountains as anchors in it and gave you sweet water to drink. 27 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 28 Depart to that you cried was lies! 29 Go to the shadow with three ramifications, 30 Neither shady nor protecting against the blazing Fire. 31 Surely it sends up sparks like palaces, 32 which seem as though they are yellow-coloured camels. 33 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 34 They will not be able to speak that day, 35 And permission shall not be given to them so that they should offer excuses. 36 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 40
