Did you (O Muhammad SAW) observe him who turned away (from Islam). 33 And gave a little, then was grudging? 34 Does he have knowledge of the hidden, so he can foresee? 35 Or has he not been informed of what was in the scriptures of Moses 36 And of Ibrahim who faithfully fulfilled? 37 That no burdened soul bears another soul’s burden? 38 nor can man achieve anything without hard labor. 39 And that his endeavour shall be presently observed. 40 then, he shall be recompensed for it in full repayment 41 And that unto thy Lord is the goal. 42 And that He it is Who makes (men) laugh and makes (them) weep; 43 It is He who causes death and gives life. 44 And that He created pairs, the male and the female 45 from a drop of sperm when it was emitted, 46 and on Him depends the life hereafter. 47 And that it is He (Allah) Who gives much or a little (or gives wealth and contentment), 48 and that it is He who is the Lord of Sirius, 49 and that it is He who destroyed the ancient [tribes of] Ad 50 and Thamood, and He did not spare them, 51 Like the people of Noah before them, who were surely oppressors and rebellious; 52 And the subverted cities He overthrew. 53 Then covered them with that which covered them. 54 Then which of the gifts of thy Lord, (O man,) wilt thou dispute about? 55 This is a warning just like those of former times. 56 The (Judgment) ever approaching draws nigh: 57 There is no one to unveil it apart from God. 58 Do you, perchance, find this tiding strange? 59 And you laugh, and do not weep! 60 while you are thoughtless? 61 So fall you down in prostration to Allah, and worship Him (Alone). ۩ 62
