The People of the Woods denied the Noble Messengers. 176 Shu'ayb said to them, "Will you not fear God? 177 “I am indeed a trustworthy Noble Messenger of Allah to you.” 178 So fear Allah and obey me. 179 I do not ask any payment for my preaching. I shall receive my reward from the Lord of the Universe. 180 ۞ Give a full measure and be not of those who diminish; 181 And weigh with the true balance. 182 And defraud not people of their things, and commit not corruption on the earth. 183 And fear Him who created you and all the earlier people." 184 They said: "Thou art only one of those bewitched! 185 You are but a human like ourselves, we think that you are one of the liars. 186 So cause a fragment of the sky to fall on us, if you are truthful." 187 He said, "My Lord has full knowledge of all your actions." 188 But they belied him, so the torment of the day of shadow (a gloomy cloud) seized them, indeed that was the torment of a Great Day. 189 Verily in that is a Sign: but most of them do not believe. 190 your Lord is the Mighty One, the Merciful. 191
