And indeed Nuh (Noah) invoked Us, and We are the Best of those who answer (the request). 75 And We delivered him and his people from the great distress, 76 and We made his seed the survivors, 77 And We perpetuated to him (praise) among the later generations. 78 'Peace be upon Noah among all the worlds' 79 Thus do We reward all those who do good. 80 He was one of Our believing servants. 81 Afterwards We drowned the others. 82 ۞ And verily of his sect was Ibrahim. 83 When he came to his Lord with a free heart, 84 When he said to his father and his people: What is it that you worship? 85 It is falsehood that you desire gods other than Allah! 86 What do you think about the Lord of the Universe?" 87 He then shot a glance at the stars. 88 And he said: verily I am about to be sick. 89 and at that they turned their backs on him and went away. 90 Thereupon he approached their gods stealthily and said, "What! You do not eat [of the offerings placed before you]? 91 What aileth ye that ye speak not? 92 And he turned upon them smiting them with his right hand. 93 whereupon people came to him running. 94 He said: worship ye that which ye carve. 95 While Allah created you and that which you do?" 96 They exclaimed: "Build a pyre for him, and cast him into the blazing fire!" 97 (This failing), they then sought a stratagem against him, but We made them the ones most humiliated! 98 And he said: Surely I fly to my lord; He will guide me. 99 My Lord! Vouchsafe me of the righteous. 100 We gave him the good news that he would have a patient, forbearing son. 101 And when he reached with him [the age of] exertion, he said, "O my son, indeed I have seen in a dream that I [must] sacrifice you, so see what you think." He said, "O my father, do as you are commanded. You will find me, if Allah wills, of the steadfast." 102 When they both agreed and Abraham had lain down his son on the side of his face (for slaughtering), 103 We called out: "O Abraham, 104 Thou hast already fulfilled the vision. Lo! thus do We reward the good. 105 This was indeed a plain trial. 106 And We ransomed him with a momentous sacrifice: 107 and We let it (the beautiful praise) remain upon him in the latter (generations), 108 'Peace be upon Abraham!' 109 Verily We! thus We compense the well-doers. 110 Lo! he is one of Our believing slaves. 111 And We gave him good tidings of Isaac, a prophet from among the righteous. 112 and blessed him and Isaac too: some of their offspring were good, but some clearly sinned against their souls. 113

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
