Therefore, remind. By the Favor of Allah, you are neither a soothsayer, nor mad. 29 Or do they say: “He is a poet for whom we await an adverse turn of fortune.” 30 Say thou: "Await ye!- I too will wait along with you!" 31 is it their minds that prompt them [to say] this, or are they merely insolent people? 32 Do they say: 'He has invented it' No, they do not believe. 33 So let them bring a discourse like it, if they are truthful 34 Have they been created from nothing or are they themselves their own creators? 35 [And] have they created the heavens and the earth? Nay, but they have no certainty of anything! 36 Or are with them the treasures of your Lord? Or are they the tyrants with the authority to do as they like? 37 Or have they a ladder, by which they can (climb up to heaven and) listen (to its secrets)? Then let (such a) listener of theirs produce a manifest proof. 38 Hath He daughters and ye sons? 39 Do you (Muhammad) ask them for any payment (for your preaching) which they cannot afford? 40 Or is it that they have access to (the Truths in) the realm beyond sense-perception which they are writing down? 41 Or, do they desire to outwit? The unbelievers are the outwitted. 42 Or have they a god other than Allah? Glory be to Allah from what they set up (with Him). 43 And if they should see a fragment of the heaven falling down, they would say: it is only clouds piled up. 44 so leave them alone till they face the Day on which they will be struck dumb, 45 The Day their plan will not avail them at all, nor will they be helped. 46 And there surely awaits the evildoers a chastisement beyond even that, but most of them know it not. 47 And be patient under the Judgement of your Lord, surely, you are before Our Eyes. And exalt with the praise of your Lord when you arise, 48 and glorify Him after the setting of the stars. 49
