The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the Sky and the Night-Visitant (therein);- 1 And have you understood what the nightly arriver is? 2 (It is a nightly radiant star). 3 That over each soul there is a guardian. 4 So let man consider of what he was created. 5 He was created of spurting water 6 issuing between the loins and the breast-bones. 7 Surely He (the Creator) has the power to bring him back (to life). 8 upon the day when the secrets are tried, 9 He will have no strength or helper. 10 By the heavens, ever-revolving, 11 And by the earth which splitteth, 12 the Quran is the final word, 13 it is no merriment. 14 Indeed, they are planning a plan, 15 But I am planning a plan. 16 So respite thou the infidels - respite them gently, 17
Almighty God's Truth.
