Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

Perish the two hands of Abu Lahab (an uncle of the Prophet), and perish he! 1 Neither his wealth nor his gains will avail him. 2 he shall roast at a Flaming Fire, 3 And his wife [as well] - the carrier of firewood. 4 On her neck shall be a cord of twisted fibre. 5

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
