We certainly bestowed Our favor upon Moses and Aaron 114 We saved them and their people from great distress; 115 And We helped them, so that they were the victors; 116 And We gave them the clear Scripture; 117 and guided them in the straight path, 118 And We left for them [favorable mention] among later generations: 119 Peace be on Moses and Aaron. 120 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 121 Indeed, they were of Our believing servants. 122 AND, BEHOLD, Elijah [too] was indeed one of Our message-bearers 123 (Call to mind) when he said to his people: “Will you not fear Allah? 124 "Will you call upon Ba'l (a well- known idol of his nation whom they used to worship) and forsake the Best of creators, 125 God, your Sustainer and the Sustainer of your forebears of old?" 126 In response they denied him, so they will surely be brought forth as captives. 127 Except the bondmen of Allah sincere. 128 And we left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 129 'Peace be upon Elias!' 130 Even thus do We reward the doers of good. 131 he was among Our believing servants. 132 Verily Lot was one of the apostles, 133 Behold, We delivered him and his adherents, all 134 Except his wife among those who remained [with the evildoers]. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by their ruins morning 137 And during the night; so do you not have sense? 138
