54 verses, revealed in Mecca after Forgiver (Ghaafer) before Consultation (Al-Shooraa)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

HA MIM. 1 A revelation from the most benevolent, ever-merciful, 2 A Book whereof the Verses are explained in detail; A Quran in Arabic for people who know. 3 A bearer of glad tidings and a warner. Yet most of them turn aside, so that they hearken not. 4 And say: "Our hearts are immured against what you call us to. There is a deafness in our ears, and a veil lies between us and you. So act (your way), we are acting (ours)." 5 Say thou: I am only a human being like unto you; only it is revealed unto me that your God is but One God, wherefore take the straight path unto Him and seek forgiveness of Him. And woe be unto the associators. 6 Those who do not give the obligatory charity, and who deny the Hereafter. 7 For those who believe and work deeds of righteousness is a reward that will never fail. 8
