He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ He frowned and turned away 1 when the blind man approached him, 2 Yet for all thou didst know, [O Muhammad,] he might perhaps have grown in purity, 3 Or be admonished, so that the admonition might have profited him? 4 Now as for him who believes himself to be self-sufficient 5 to a rich man, 6 although thou art not accountable for his failure to attain to purity; 7 but as for one who comes to you, eagerly 8 and fears (Allah), 9 of him you were unmindful. 10 Not this way this is the advice. 11 and whosoever wills, shall remember it. 12 (It is) in Books held (greatly) in honour, 13 Exalted, Purified, 14 Written by the hands of emissaries. 15 and angelic scribes. 16 Man is (self-)destroyed: how ungrateful! 17 From what did He create him? 18 Of a drop of seed. He created him and formed him according to a measure. 19 Then maketh the way easy for him, 20 then makes him to die, and buries him, 21 and then, whenever He wishes, He will raise him back to life. 22 Nay, but (man) hath not done what He commanded him. 23 So man must look at his food. 24 We poured water, pouring it in great abundance, 25 and then We cleaved the earth asunder. 26 And We cause therein the grain to grow, 27 And grapes and clover plants (i.e. green fodder for the cattle), 28 and olives, and palms, 29 Orchards thick with trees, 30 And fruits and fodder: 31 for you and for your herds to delight in. 32 But when the deafening cry comes, 33 on that Day each person will flee from his brother, 34 and from his mother and father, 35 wife and sons, 36 every man that day shall have business to suffice him. 37 Some faces that Day will be beaming, 38 laughing, joyous; 39 but others will be gloomy 40 with darkness overspread: 41 These will be the unbelievers, the wicked. 42
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
