Verily this is a Revelation from the Lord of the Worlds: 192 The Trustworthy Spirit brought it down. (Angel Jibreel peace be upon him.) 193 Upon your heart, for you to convey warning. 194 in clear Arabic speech. 195 And verily, [the essence of] this [revelation] is indeed found in the ancient books of divine wisdom [as well]. 196 Is it not evidence enough for them that the learned among the Children of Israel have recognized this [as true]? 197 Had We revealed it to a man of obscure tongue 198 In order that he read it to them, even then they would not have believed in it. 199 We have thus caused denial of truth to enter into the hearts of the sinners: 200 They will not believe in it until they clearly see the grievous chastisement. 201 It shall come unto them on a sudden, and they shall not perceive. 202 They will say, "Can we be granted any respite?" 203 Would they then wish for Our Torment to be hastened on? 204 Therefore observe, that if We give them some comforts for some years, 205 and then the promised punishment fell upon them, 206 of what avail will be the provisions of life which they have been granted to enjoy? 207 Never a city We destroyed, but it had warners 208 to admonish them. We have never been unjust. 209 The satans have not revealed the Quran; 210 They are unworthy of it, nor can they do it. 211 Indeed they have been banished from the place of hearing. 212 Hence, [O man,] do not invoke any other deity side by side with God, lest thou find thyself among those who are made to suffer [on Judgment Day]. 213 And warn your nearest relations, 214 And lower your wing to those who follow you of the believers. 215 And if they (thy kinsfolk) disobey thee, say: Lo! I am innocent of what they do. 216 And rely upon the Exalted in Might, the Merciful, 217 who sees you when you stand 218 And watches your movements among those who prostrate in prayer. 219 He is the All Hearing, the All Knowing. 220 Shall I inform you (O people!) upon whom the Shayatin (devils) descend? 221 They descend on every lying sinner, 222 (Into whose ears) they pour hearsay vanities, and most of them are liars. 223 And the poets - [only] the deviators follow them; 224 Do you not see that they wander about in every valley 225 And that they say what they practise not?- 226 Except those [poets] who believe and do righteous deeds and remember Allah often and defend [the Muslims] after they were wronged. And those who have wronged are going to know to what [kind of] return they will be returned. 227
God the Almighty always says the truth.
