Elucidated (Fussilat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Ha, Meem. 1 A revelation from the most benevolent, ever-merciful, 2 A Book of which the verses are made plain, an Arabic Quran for a people who know: 3 Good tidings and a warning. But most of them turn away so that they hear not. 4 And say: "Our hearts are immured against what you call us to. There is a deafness in our ears, and a veil lies between us and you. So act (your way), we are acting (ours)." 5 Say (Prophet Muhammad): 'I am only a human like you, to whom it is revealed that your God is One God. Therefore be straight with Him and ask Him to forgive you. Woe to the idolaters, 6 who do not pay Zakah, and who deny the Hereafter. 7 As to those who have faith and do good works, surely theirs shall be a never-ending reward. 8
