Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah) before The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection 1 No! I swear by the reproachful soul. 2 Does man (a disbeliever) think that We shall not assemble his bones? 3 Indeed yes, We are able to shape his fingerstips yet again! 4 Nay! (Man denies Resurrection and Reckoning. So) he desires to continue committing sins. 5 He asketh: when will the Day of Resurrection be? 6 But when sight is confounded 7 The moon eclipsed, 8 when the sun and the moon are brought together, 9 On that day man will cry out, “Where shall I flee?” 10 By no means! NO refuge! 11 With your Lord alone will be the retreat on that day. 12 Man will be apprised, on that Day, of what he has done and what he has left undone: 13 Indeed, man shall be a witness against himself, 14 even though he offers his excuses. 15 Move not your tongue with it, [O Muhammad], to hasten with recitation of the Qur'an. 16 Indeed, upon Us is its collection [in your heart] and [to make possible] its recitation. 17 So, as We recite it, follow its reading. 18 and then, it will be for Us to make its meaning clear. 19 Not [as you think, that you (mankind) will not be resurrected and recompensed for your deeds], but (you men) love the present life of this world, 20 And neglect the Hereafter. 21 Some faces will be radiant on that Day, 22 looking up to their Sustainer; 23 And countenances on that Day shall be scowling. 24 certain of facing a great calamity. 25 Yea, when (the soul) reaches to the collar-bone (in its exit), 26 and when it is asked: "Could any magician save him now?"; 27 And he knoweth that it is the parting; 28 When legs are twisted around each other, 29 Unto thy Lord that day will be the driving. 30

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
