The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Exalt the Name of your Lord, the Highest, 1 Who hath created, and further, given order and proportion; 2 And Who hath disposed and then guided, 3 Who brought forth the pasture, 4 and then made it into a blackish straw. 5 We shall now make you read (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), so you will not forget. 6 Except what Allah should will. Indeed, He knows what is declared and what is hidden. 7 and [thus] shall We make easy for thee the path towards [ultimate] ease. 8 Therefor remind (men), for of use is the reminder. 9 He who fears will mind, 10 but the wretched will turn away from it. 11 The one who will enter the biggest fire. 12 Wherein he will neither die (to be in rest) nor live (a good living). 13 Prosperous is he who purifies himself, 14 And who mentioned the name of his Lord, then offered prayer. 15 But you prefer the present life, 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 This is what is written in the ancient heavenly Books, 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
