The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
I CALL TO witness the early hours of morning, 1 and by the night when it covers, 2 Your Lord has neither left you, nor despises you. 3 and the Last shall be better for thee than the First. 4 Verily your Lord will soon give you so amply that you will be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you as an orphan and give you shelter? 6 Did He not find you a wanderer so He guided you? 7 Did He not find you poor and enrich you? 8 Therefore, the orphan shalt thou never wrong, 9 Therefor the beggar drive not away, 10 and as for thy Lord's blessing, declare it. 11
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
