The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By oath of those that sprint, breathing heavily. (The horses used in Holy War.) 1 And striking off fire by dashing their hoofs. 2 And scouring to the raid at dawn, 3 Stirring up thereby [clouds of] dust, 4 Penetrating deep into the armies, 5 Lo! man is an ingrate unto his Lord 6 And verily to that he is witness. 7 And indeed he loves wealth to the extreme. 8 ۞ But does he not know that [on the Last Day,] when all that is in the graves is raised and brought out, 9 and the secrets of the hearts are laid bare (and examined)? 10 that on that Day their Sustainer [will show that He] has always been fully aware of them? 11
Almighty Allah's Truth.
