The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Successful indeed are the believers; 1 Those who in their prayer are lowly. 2 And those who turn away from Al-Laghw (dirty, false, evil vain talk, falsehood, and all that Allah has forbidden). 3 Who strive for betterment; 4 And who guard their modesty - 5 save from their wives, or those whom their right hands possess; for with regard to them they are free from blame " 6 Those who desire to go beyond such limits they commit transgression, 7 and who are faithful to their trusts and to their pledges, 8 and those who observe their prayers. 9 These are the heirs 10 Who will inherit Paradise: they will dwell therein (for ever). 11 We have created the human being from an extract of clay 12 then We made him, a drop, in a secure receptacle (the womb). 13 Then We made the Nutfah into a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood), then We made the clot into a little lump of flesh, then We made out of that little lump of flesh bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then We brought it forth as another creation. So blessed be Allah, the Best of creators. 14 After that you shall surely die, 15 Then you will be raised up again on the Resurrection Day. 16 We have indeed fashioned above you seven paths. Never were We unaware of the task of creation. 17 And We sent down from the sky water (rain) in (due) measure, and We gave it lodging in the earth, and verily, We are Able to take it away. 18 Then We brought forth for you therewith gardens of date-palm and vines; for you therein are fruits many, and thereof ye eat. 19 We have also created for you the tree that grows on Mount Sinai which produces oil and relish for those who use it. 20 In the cattle, too, is a lesson for you. We let you drink of that which is in their bellies, and there are many benefits in them for you, and you eat of them, 21 And on them and on the ships you are borne. 22
