Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection 1 But nay! I call to witness the accusing voice of man's own conscience! 2 Does man assume that We will never assemble his bones? 3 We certainly have the power to restore them even the very tips of their finger. 4 In fact man wishes to commit evil in front of Him! 5 He asks, “When will be the Day of Resurrection?” 6 But when sight is confounded 7 and the moon eclipsed, 8 And the sun and the moon are brought together, 9 on that Day man will ask, "Where can I escape?" 10 No, there shall be no (place of) refuge. 11 Unto thy Lord is the recourse that day. 12 On that day man is told the tale of that which he hath sent before and left behind. 13 Aye! man against himself shall be an enlightenment. 14 Although he may put forth his pleas. 15 Do not forestall (the revelation before its completion) by acting in haste. 16 Lo! upon Us (resteth) the putting together thereof and the reading thereof. 17 So, when We recite it, follow thou its recitation. 18 Again on Us (devolves) the explaining of it. 19 Truly, you love immediate gain 20 and are heedless of the Everlasting Life. 21 Some faces will on that Day be bright with happiness, 22 Looking at their Lord. 23 And countenances on that Day shall be scowling. 24 Fearing that a great disaster is going to befall them. 25 No! When the soul has reached the collar bones 26 And it is said, "Who will cure [him]?" 27 and when he thinks it is the time of departure 28 and when leg is intertwined with leg, 29 at that time towards thy Sustainer does he feel impelled to turn! 30
