Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
CONSIDER these [messages,] sent forth in waves 1 by (the angels) as swift as blowing winds, 2 and the rain-spreading winds, 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 And those that bring down the Reminder 5 To cut off all excuses or to warn; 6 Indeed what you are promised, will surely befall. 7 When the stars shall be extinguished, 8 And when the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 And when the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 To the Day of Judgement. 13 And what will make you comprehend what the day of decision is? 14 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth. 15 Did We not destroy the ancients, 16 So shall We make later (generations) follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with the Mujrimun (polytheists, disbelievers, sinners, criminals, etc.)! 18 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 19 Did We not create you out of a humble fluid 20 which We then let remain in [the womb's] firm keeping 21 till a known term decreed? 22 Thus have We determined [the nature of man's creation]: and excellent indeed is Our power to determine [what is to be]! 23 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 24 Have We not made the earth a housing 25 the living and the dead? 26 And have placed therein firm and tall mountains and given you to drink of water fresh 27 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 28 (It will be said unto them:) Depart unto that (doom) which ye used to deny; 29 Depart unto the shadow three branched: 30 which neither provides (cooling) shade nor protection against the flames; 31 "Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts, 32 As if they were yellowish [black] camels. 33 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 34 That will be the Day on which they will not (be able to) utter a word, 35 nor shall they be permitted to offer excuses. 36 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have assembled both ye and the ancients. 38 If now you have any strategy, use it against Me. 39 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 40
