The Heifer (Al-Baqarah)

286 verses, revealed in Medina after The Cheaters (Al-Mutaffifeen) before The Spoils of War (Al-Anfaal)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Alif Lam Mim. 1 This is the exalted Book (the Qur’an), in which there is no place for doubt; a guidance for the pious. 2 Who believe in the unseen and establish the (daily) prayer; who spend out of what We have provided them. 3 who have faith in what has been revealed to you and others before you and have strong faith in the life hereafter. 4 They are on (true) guidance, from their Lord, and it is these who will prosper. 5 Surely those who disbelieve, it being alike to them whether you warn them, or do not warn them, will not believe. 6 God has sealed their hearts and hearing and their vision is veiled; a great punishment awaits them. 7
