The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ Successful indeed are the believers; 1 Who are humble in their prayers, 2 And who shun vain conversation, 3 And who pay the (obligatory) charity. 4 who strictly guard their private parts 5 Except from their wives or (the captives and slaves) that their right hands possess, for then, they are free from blame; 6 So whoever desires more than these two – they are crossing the limits. 7 those who are true to their trust, 8 and those who observe their prayers. 9 These are the heirs 10 Who will inherit paradise. There they will abide. 11 And certainly We created man of an extract of clay, 12 Thereafter We made him (the offspring of Adam) as a Nutfah (mixed drops of the male and female sexual discharge) (and lodged it) in a safe lodging (womb of the woman). 13 and then We create out of the drop of sperm a germ-cell, and then We create out of the germ-cell an embryonic lump, and then We create within the embryonic lump bones, and then We clothe the bones with flesh - and then We bring [all] this into being as a new creation: hallowed, therefore, is God, the best of artisans! 14 And then, behold! after all this, you are destined to die; 15 Then surely on the day of resurrection you shall be raised. 16 And indeed We have created above you seven heavens (one over the other), and We are never unaware of the creation. 17 And We send down water from the sky according to (due) measure, and We cause it to soak in the soil; and We certainly are able to drain it off (with ease). 18 And by means of this [water] We bring forth for you gardens of date-palms and vines, wherein you have fruit abundant and whereof you eat, 19 And created the tree that comes forth from Mount Sinai – that grows containing oil and curry for the eaters. 20 There are lessons for you in the cattle from whose bellies We give you milk to drink, and there are other advantages that you derive from them, and some of them you eat; 21 And you are carried on them and on boats. 22
