Messengers! Partake of the things that are clean, and act righteously. I know well all that you do. 51 Verily this your order is one order, and I am your Lord, so fear Me. 52 But they (mankind) have broken their religion among them into sects, each group rejoicing in its tenets. 53 So leave them in their bewilderment for a while. 54 Do they think that We are helping them by giving them children and property? 55 We vie in good works for them? Nay, but they are not aware. 56 Only those who are, out of fear of Him, humble before their Lord, 57 And those who believe in the signs of their Lord – 58 Who do not associate any one with their Lord, 59 And those who give what they give and their hearts fear for they have to return to their Lord. 60 These people hasten to perform goodness, and it is they who shall reach it first. 61 And We task not any soul except according to its capacity, and with Us is a book speaking with truth, and they will not be wronged. 62 In fact, the hearts of the unbelievers are in the dark because of their ignorance of real virtue; they act against it. 63 But when We will strike with torment those (unbelievers) who are rich, they will start to cry for help. 64 Cry not for succor this day; surely you shall not be given help from Us. 65 "My Signs used to be rehearsed to you, but ye used to turn back on your heels- 66 being proud against it, talking foolishness by night. 67 Then have they not reflected over the Qur'an, or has there come to them that which had not come to their forefathers? 68 Or know they not their messenger, and so reject him? 69 Or do they say that there is madness in him? Nay, he has brought them the Truth and it is the Truth that most of them disdain. 70 If truth had followed their whims and desires, heavens and earth and all that lives in them would have been brought to ruin. Rather We have brought them their Reminder. Yet they keep avoiding their Reminder. 71 Or dost thou [O Muhammad] ask of them any worldly recompense? But [they ought to know that] recompense from thy Sustainer is best, since He is the best of providers! 72 And certainly, you (O Muhammad SAW) call them to a Straight Path (true religion Islamic Monotheism). 73 but those who do not believe in the Hereafter are ever prone to deviate from the Right Way. 74 ۞ Even if We were to grant them mercy and rescue them from hardship, they would still blindly persist in their rebellion. 75 And indeed We grasped them with punishment, so neither did they submit themselves to their Lord, nor do they cry humbly. 76 Until when We open upon them a door of severe chastisement, lo! they are in despair at it. 77
