Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the winds that scatter the dust, 1 And those who bear the load, 2 by the ships which smoothly sail on the oceans, 3 and execute the great task of apportioning (rainfall): 4 What you are promised is certainly true: 5 And the judgment must most surely come about. 6 By the heaven full of paths, 7 Most surely you are at variance with each other in what you say, 8 Turned aside therefrom is who is turned aside. 9 Woe to the falsehood-mongers,- 10 who are heedless in the immersion. 11 They ask, "When it will be the Day of Judgment?" 12 Upon the day when they shall be tried at the Fire: 13 Taste your burning: this is that which ye sought to be hastened. 14 As for the God-fearing, they shall be in the midst of gardens and fountains, 15 Taking what their Lord gives them; surely they were before that, the doers of good. 16 they would lie asleep during but a small part of the night, 17 praying at dawn for God's pardon, 18 and the beggar and the outcast had a share in their wealth. 19 There are signs in the earth for those who are firm in their faith, 20 And (also) in yourselves. Can ye then not see? 21 And in the heaven is your sustenance and what you are threatened with. 22 Then by the Lord of the heaven and earth, indeed, it is truth - just as [sure as] it is that you are speaking. 23
