Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the winds (or angels or the Messengers of Allah) sent forth one after another. 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force, 2 by the scatterers scattering 3 And by the Verses (of the Quran) that separate the right from the wrong. 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 To clear or to warn. 6 surely that which you are promised is about to fall! 7 Then when the stars lose their lights; 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are carried away as dust, 10 and when the Messengers' time is set 11 To which Day has this task been deferred? 12 For the Day of Judgement. 13 What do you know what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 15 Did We not destroy the former peoples? 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 Thus do We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 19 Did We not create you from a worthless water (semen, etc.)? 20 which We placed within a sure lodging 21 Till a limit known? 22 So We did measure, and We are the Best to measure (the things). 23 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 24 Have We not made the earth a repository 25 The living and the dead, 26 place on it high mountains and provide you with fresh water? 27 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 28 "Go to what you used to deny; 29 Depart into the shadow of three masses, 30 "(Which yields) no shade of coolness, and is of no use against the fierce Blaze. 31 The fire will shoot out sparks as big as huge towers 32 and yellow camels. 33 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 Nor will it be open to them to put forth pleas. 36 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 37 That is the Day of Judgment. We will bring you together with all the ancient peoples. 38 If you have any plans, use them. 39 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 40
