The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By those [angels] who extract with violence 1 and those that draw out violently, 2 And by those who float in space, 3 And those who race each other in a race 4 and by those who regulate events. 5 On the Day the blast [of the Horn] will convulse [creation], 6 and will be followed by the second one, 7 hearts will throb on that Day 8 while eyes will be downcast. 9 They say (now): "What! shall we indeed be returned to (our) former state? 10 "Even after we are crumbled bones?" 11 They say, "That, then, would be a losing return." 12 It will only be a single blast, 13 When, behold, they will be in the (full) awakening (to Judgment). 14 (Muhammad), have you heard the story of Moses 15 How his Lord called him in the holy vale of Tuwa, 16 saying 'Go to Pharaoh, he has become exceedingly insolent, 17 And say to him, 'Would you [be willing to] purify yourself 18 And that I guide you to your Lord, so you should fear Him? 19 So Moosa showed him a magnificent sign. 20 In response, he denied and disobeyed. 21 Then turned he away in haste, 22 then he mustered 23 then said: 'I am your lord, the most high' 24 Wherefore Allah laid hold of him with the punishment of the Hereafter and of the present. 25 Indeed in this is a lesson for one who fears. 26
